Photos of fishing companions past and present and the many streams and rivers I have enjoyed with the company of these fine people.
A Celebration of Friends and Great Times

This old photo by Erwin Hess of Mt. Holly Springs shows the late Ross Trimmer, legendary fly fishing companion of Charlie Fox, Vince Marinaro, Joe Brooks, and Tommy Thomas on Penns Creek around 1960 to 1963. Look at that loop! This was before the time of graphite rods and all that fancy equipment! Looks like it was the Green Drake hatch. Ross might be fishing an old bamboo rod!

The “Sage of the Letort” Ed Shenk carefully approaches one on the Letort. Ed has caught (and released) more Big Trout from the Letort than any fly fisher in existence. He was a close friend of the Dean of the Letort, the late Charlie Fox. Photo by Jack Hunter.

Near dusk at the Letort Picnic, someone spots a rise! Ed Shenk and others look on. There are always great times at these events. The annual picnic is held near Charlie Fox´s old bench. We all know that Charlie is watching. He is always with us in spirit.

Long-time friend and fishing companion Bob Steck lands and releases a nice stream bred brown on a Pennsylvania limestoner. Stck is one of the world's great fly tyers.

What´s this? Bob´s wife Dianne does the same! Dianne can hold her own against the men in this game any day of the week. Hey---Dianne.....you weren´t using one of Guido´s secret patterns. Were you! She´ll never tell!

Oh NO! Guido captured on film by long time fishing companion and professor at Ohio State--Bill Finney! Obviously Guido is preparing for the Green Drake on Penns Creek. It looks like a Contraband Cigar...does Castro know! What about the State Department?
