A Celebration
of Friends and Great Times
I met Jim Gazes just out of college. We became
life long friends. He was a commercial artist without
competition. He could do just about everything that an artist
could do. He was a great fly fisherman and companion. For many
years we fished, partied, and enjoyed the camaraderie of each
other and friends. He has passed away but I always remember him
whenever I light up a cigar and have a drink, his caustic humor
still makes me smile.

The late Jim Gazes one of the great
artists and fisherman one could meet. A long time friend
he was part of the Falling Spring Gang. We fished this
stream to death during it's hey day of having the best
Trico hatch in the nation..
Fly fishermen wear funny hats and dress up
...well it seems that way doesn't it. Here are some of the
Falling Spring Gang joining the Penns Creek Gang for the Drake
hatch. Bill Finney, Jim Gazes, and Al Lowery.

Bill
Finney, Jim Gazes, and Al Lowry on Penns Creek. Do they
have enough equipment or is it the walking Christmas Tree
Contest!
Okay Charlie get your off your butt and fish I
gave you the secret pattern to the Trico. Now how about a
little credit.
Charlie
Meck enjoys a break on Falling Springs. How did Guido's
secret trico technique work!
Whenever fly fishermen get together they seem
to have a good time. A much better time than they have with
their relatives etc. I guess I shouldn't go there.

The Letort Regulars
Picnic- everyone having a good time with good food and good
friends.
